Volunteers assist the agency to provide vital social services to people in need, regardless of their religious, social or economic background, to improve lives of individuals, families & the community.
The most powerful contributions come from volunteers who share their time and talents!
Wanted:
All Regions:
• Clerical volunteers to assist with general office duties, mail correspondences, filing, data entry and answering the phones.
• Food Pantry volunteers to assist with sorting, stocking and packaging food for our clients.
• Family Assistance Intake Receptionist to work with the Family Assistance program in greeting clients and assisting with the intake process.
• Fundraising and event volunteers to assist at special events while raising awareness and funds for the agency.
• Assistance with landscaping, painting and general maintenance to help keep our facilities clean and beautiful.
• Prison and Jail volunteers to visit the prisons and jails bringing the Word of God to the inmates. Training will be provided.
Lakeland:
• Food Bank volunteers to assist with receiving and giving out products, shelf dating and sorting the products.
• Senior Center volunteers assisting with serving meals, social activities and thrift store.
Casselberry (Seminole County):
• Pathways to Care “Front Desk Receptionist” is needed to assist with answering the phone, monitoring visitors and residents coming to the facility.
• Pathways to Care “Kitchen Assistant” is needed to help with preparing and serving Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.Orange, Osceola, Seminole Counties:
• Youth Mentor/Tutor volunteers are matched with the children of our Youth services in our Immigration Resettlement program. Volunteers communicate in English and assist the children with school homework.
Lake, Sumter and Osceola Counties:
• Medical Volunteers are needed to serve the patients; Doctors, Nurses and Nurse Practitioners are needed for the free medical clinics for the poor and underserved. Non medical volunteers are needed to assist with front desk reception, intake interviews, and basic office work and record keeping.
Volusia, Orange, Polk Counties:
• The Women and Children Program needs volunteers to assist with collection of household items, clothing and general office duties.
Volunteer Criteria:
• Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age.
• Parents, Legal Guardian, or School Chaperone must accompany volunteers under the age of 16 at all times.
• All volunteers are required to attend a brief interview and orientation with the Volunteer Coordinator.
• All volunteers must complete a volunteer application packet. All adult volunteers (16ys+) will be background screened through the Diocese of Orlando and take an online course prior to volunteering.
