Shepherd’s House

The Shepherd’s House program provides support and resources to at risk, economically disadvantaged homeless single mothers.

The purpose of the program is to provide an opportunity for single mothers to acquire parenting, financial management and interpersonal skills that will assist in becoming self sufficient.  Case managers and community volunteers facilitate these life skills education courses at Shepherd’s Common, a free standing training facility.  Shepherd’s House consists of eight duplex apartments in Orlando and can accommodate up to 16 mothers with children age eight or younger.  Candidates for this program are referred through community partners and must be pre-qualified.
