Elderly Housing and Day Center
Catholic Charities of Central Florida operates two senior housing complexes and a senior day center. St. Joseph Garden Courts in East Orlando and St. Anthony Garden Courts in St. Cloud, Osceola County (opening in September, 2011) each contain apartments for low-income seniors. The two developments have individual apartments that are handicap compliant and provide opportunities for social activities. The Lake Morton Senior Center in Lakeland provides seniors with daily activities and emergency resources.
The purpose of Catholic Charities’ Senior Services are to encourage self-sufficiency for seniors to keep physically and mentally active to promote overall well being by providing:
- Safe and affordable housing for low-income seniors
- Social development programs
- Opportunities for seniors to keep socially active
