Brevard Interfaith Coalition

The Brevard Interfaith Coalition unites to mobilize the faith-based community in an effort to reach beyond a congregation’s four walls. The purpose is to encourage and strengthen the family as the fundamental unit of society in a positive way.

Brevard Interfaith Coalition’s mission is to tap into the rich resources of the Faith-Based Community. We especially want to identify existing faith-based programs or resources and then share the information within the entire faith community.

Reaching Beyond A Congregation in:

  • Preventing child abuse
  • Recruiting foster & adoptive parents
  • Recruiting mentors to support youth aging out of foster care

Monthly Coalition Meetings Include

  • Networking
  • Strategic discussions about how to meet the needs of Brevard’s vulnerable children and families
  • Facilitation for faith-based community service collaborations

Strengthening Family Series Training Events

  • Providing key information and training to increase leadership in the faith community
  • Local and national keynote speakers on topics such as Strengthening Families, Protecting Families, Adoption & Foster Care and Leadership Training

Brevard Interfaith FestivALL Events

Through a celebration of cultural and religious freedom this event strives to bring people together, in every way possible.

  • ALL faiths are invited to participate
  • FestivALL encourages friendship, interaction, awareness, appreciation and recognition of community diversity through entertainment, cuisine, education and artistic expression

You Can Help

  • Distribute literature through your faith based resources
  • Share information with the community
  • Educate congregants on becoming foster or adoptive parents
  • Donate your time, talent and /or financial support
  • Mentor a youth
  • Assist with the collection of goods for those in need

Brevard Family Partnership is the nonprofit lead agency selected by the Department of Children and Families to manage a local network of providers who deliver case management and related services, foster care, adoption, independent living and child abuse prevention services.

Brevard Family Partnership believes faith groups are strategically positioned to “protect children, strengthen families, and change lives” and that members of caring congregations make excellent foster and adoptive parents, mentors of youth and resources to support families in need.
